Indian space-tech startup Skyroot Aerospace is set to make history on Saturday, July 18, with the first orbital launch attempt of its indigenously developed rocket, Vikram-1. The launch is scheduled for 11:30 am from India's premier spaceport, the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota. Standing approximately seven storeys tall, Vikram-1 is engineered to deliver small satellites weighing up to 350 kilograms to Low Earth Orbit (LEO). For this particular launch, the rocket aims to place its payload into a 450-kilometre orbit with an inclination of 60 degrees.
